Olga thank you for pushing past the vulnerabilities to share this with us. Many will benefit from reading this.. I was the child that heard "you are too sensitive".. I am 58 and what comes with that sensitivity is deep compassion and still struggling to understand how so many can still look away from so much in this world. I also suffer with neck pain. Stepping back and taking time to recharge is giving yourself the love that you need to shine even brighter! Bless you!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Stephanie. Vulnerability is central to my work. I was told endless ”you are too sensitive” all thoughts my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood especially when I was in academia. Thank you so much for reading.

We miss your heavenly basque cheesecakes, but it’s worth it if you’re getting more relaxed, comfortable and healthy in yourself.

This was a timely and beautiful read. I have Lupus and other autoimmune, and I don’t take care of myself either. When hubby comes up behind me when I’m doing dishes, he said he can feel the tension in my neck, shoulders, and mid/lower back. He has offered time and time again for me to get a massage. I always felt like it was frivolous. We don’t even go out to eat! But after reading what you wrote, I think I will take him up on it. Baking bread, we are on our feet for hours. And even with compression socks and good work shoes, and a mat! My legs still kill me. I’m glad you’re back. You literally opened my eyes.
