Hi, I just checked your delicious recipe and I am planning to try it myself. But I think there is a (big) mistake: The amount of chickpeas (325 g) is approx. ten times lower than the amount in the linked can (3.16 kg). And from my experience, the ratio of chickpeas to the other ingrdients doesn't match.
Could you please let me know whether my suspection is correct?
Hi Jacob! Where did you get the 325 grams? The recipe asks for one giant can of chickpeas, it’s approximately 3.16 kilograms or 111 oz. If you can’t find one of these cans you need a total of around 70 oz to 72 oz of drained chickpeas, that’s approximately 2 kilograms. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any follow questions.
I'm really sorry! It seems that the automatic Google translation to German changed the numbers (probably trying to convert the US units to German units). If I switch to the original text, I can see the 111 oz, which I also suspected.
Sorry for the confusion, I will definitely try this recipe soon! Thank you!
Absolutely no apologies needed, Jakob! I really appreciate you giving me the feedback because I definitely do make mistakes or nasty typos make it through into the final recipe. Thanks for reading and giving my recipes a try all the way in Germany. I actually did find a typo/mistake in my buttermilk pancake recipe that I need to fix asap.
I’ve never made hummus with mint before and that sounds delicious! I happened to get some mint in my csa box this week and need to make your recipe. I also can’t/wont meal plan more than a few days at a time and the main bulk cooking I do is soup or beans. But I should add hummus to the list!
Yes! It’s one of my favorites. You can play around with garlic quantities in case it’s too much. Let me know if anything is unclear! Would love for you to try it ❤️

Gochugaru!!! Whaaat - I am intrigued and now I have to try this. And I don’t think too much garlic is actually a thing 😉
It is sooo good! I hope you enjoy it, if you love garlic, I am confident you will.
